Understanding Your Report Results

Once you’ve scanned a domain, you will be able to download a full report that includes your accessibility score as well as all the issues that need to be addressed.

Please be aware that you won’t be able to achieve a score of 100 with an automatic scan alone as a number of accessibility issues are subjective.

For example, the information on a website needs to be understandable for people with cognitive problems, the navigation needs to be easy for people who are blind or people with physical problems to navigate etc.
Once you download a report, here’s what you need to know:
  • Status: Indicates whether a URL is compliant or not.
  • Score: If you’ve just scanned one URL, this will be the score out of 100 for that URL. If you have scanned multiple URLs, you will receive an average score out of 100. Your report will also give you an individual score for each URL associated with a domain.

  • Results: Here you can see how many critical issues were detected and how many key elements passed the audit. This section will also indicate how many issues would require a manual audit to achieve a score of 100.

You can now delve into the results for each individual URL that was scanned by downloading each report. You can also export all issues across all URLs to an excel document.

Within your report, you will now be able to see the individual critical issues that need to be addressed. Each critical issue will outline:

  • A description of the issue
  • Which disabilities are affected
  • Which acts and legislations require this issue to be fixed
  • The element that needs to be fixed
